Stand Alone PSPE Units

Stand alone units in PSPE account for the majority of PE lessons (given that Integrated units should be purposeful and combined when relevant).

Net Games

The central idea was linking the common themes in Net Games: - Hand/Eye coordination; Serving, returning and playing shots over a net; and then giving the students opportunities to experiment with this in different activities. We inquired through Badminton, Smashball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Water volleyball. Click here for a full plan and linked videos/photos.

Athletics

In Athletics, our central idea revolved around how we could improve our own and others' performances. How could we run faster? How could we throw and jump further? How could we pace ourselves to save energy? We then linked it back to how could we create a successful Track & Field team for our end of Unit Sports Day. Click here for full UOI planner and videos.
